On June 8-9, 2017 we present the program of the Congress at the Second Forum of social innovations of the regions (Krasnogorsk, Russia).

A delegation from the Russian coordination committee of the Congress will attend the Forum. The delegation is composed of representatives of the Ministry of Social policy of the Sverdlovsk region and the head of Blagoe Delo NGO Vera Simakova.

The Forum serves as a platform to present and learn about the best practices of social work in the regions of the Russian Federation. The Forum is designed to boost the development of social infrastructure in Russia and to stimulate the improvement of the quality of life for different groups of the Russian population. Among the organizers of the Forum are the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation; the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation; the Government of the Moscow region; and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.

We think that the First World Congress for persons with disabilities should become a familiar experience in other regions in Russia and the rest of the world. This First World Congress should initiate a wave of mini-congresses in each country of the world, in each region, big and small, of Russia. We are convinced that matters of practical implementation of the rights of persons with disabilities, their inclusion in social life and the overcoming of stereotypes concern not only Norway and Germany, but also Yekaterinburg (Russia). They are the same for all countries.
