Meeting with the Consul General of Germany in Yekaterinburg

This past Friday April 7, representatives of the International coordination committee of the First World Congress met with the Consul General of Germany in Yekaterinburg Mr. Stefan Keil.

At the meeting, the committee members made a presentation of the First World Congress for persons with disabilities. Thomas Kraus (Germany), Petter Holm (Norway) and Vera Simakova (Yekaterinburg, Blagoe Delo NGO) spoke about the idea of the Congress, its goals and registered participants. The Consul General was pleasantly surprised to learn that German nationals constitute the biggest national team at the Congress (145 people). Additionally, the Consul General urged the international community to provide support to their respective national delegates through subsidizing their Congress participation fees.
